2. I used to live in Seattle and had to leave due to leftist politics allowing a beautiful city to become a literal toilet. The homeless population would poop on sidewalks, leave their drug needles in parks so that tax paying parents could not take their children there. Throwing money at the problem does NOT solve it because most of the homeless are addicts and they refuse to go to the shelters built at great taxpayer expense because there are rules that they cannot fight, do drugs, etc.
   The want their ‘lifestyle’ to stay the same. The only solution is to buy an island, ship them to it, leave them some seeds and tools to build their own housing, grow their own food, but no drugs so they have to detox. They are feral people, so most likely they will kill each other, which is fine by me. The ones who detox, learn some skills etc. can be picked up after a couple of years of sobriety and allowed back. However, if they become addicts again they go back to the island and stay there the rest of their lives.
   I am tired of their poor life choices (because that is what drug addiction is, not a disease, a disease is childhood leukemia) costing us high taxes, the inability to enjoy nature in city parks, and to not feel safe in the communities that WE build and contribute to.
