Grocery stores operate at a very slim profit margin. Higher prices are tied to mandated minimum wage increases. The last time Cuckoo Kathy Hochul raised the minimum wage, grocery prices increased about a week and a half later. $30 million is a hell of a lot of money for a grocery store.
