I was raised in a corrupt law enforcement family…and I can tell you this is not the way to get out of a ticket. I know this was back in the day…but as a teenager, because we have a very distinct last name…whenever we were pulled over we just waited for the Cop to ask us…”Is your Dad a Cop?”….or…”Is your Mom a Court Clerk and Dispatcher?”…and when we said “Yes”…and they would always walk away and let us off with a warning. If they didn’t ask those questions…as they lectured us on our violation we would simply nod…and say…”Yes Officer I understand, my Dad is a Cop, so I understand your point of view”. We called this….”Mentioning”…and it worked very well…as the Cop would almost always let us go with a warning. It never works trying to leverage family relationships with Cops in a threatening way…like this idiot.
