Black National anthem is beautiful. But should every group have a national anthem? One for Hispanics, Asians, LBGT etc. or atheists, Muslims?
Many Blacks served in military as it was a way up and out. I remember my First Sergeant a Black man who was such a good man. I would babysit his 3 young boys when he and his wife went out.

We should not have to hear that song. We have one and only one NATIONAL ANTHEM and that is played and sung for everyone! If people have issues with that then change your place of residence for another country. Do not let the door hit you on the way out.

“Black National Anthem?” There is an oldie but goodie song with the refrain “When Will They Ever Learn, When Will They Ever Learn?” That was in the mid ’60s, during the Vietnam, debacle. They haven’t ‘learned’ since then, and not since the “Emancipation Proclamation” (1863), nearly 200 years ago! If this ridiculousness continues, nobody alive today will be around to witness the “learning!” Why, one might ask? It primarily is caused by the constant harangue by all the ‘race baiters,’ pounding the drum of racial divide. That is their bread and butter, in order to live their ‘jet set’ life style through donations from their ill-educated, ill-informed, brainwashed, communities. This “Black Anthem” is simply another inflammatory cause for racial division.
The, hated hyphenation, African-Americans have desired/sought, for 10s of decades, acceptance and equality as ‘American Citizens,’ and access to the “American Dream.” The ‘race baiters’ would have their minions believe that they have NOT YET achieved that desire! Millions upon millions of immigrants have come to this country, the “melting pot” of the World, and ‘ASSIMILATED’ by accepting as their own America’s values, laws, and mores, i.e., America’s ‘National Anthem’ is now ‘their’ Anthem! For African-Americans to accept some ‘Black Anthem’ as their anthem would indicate they have NOT “assimilated!” America has ONE Anthem, not the dozens required to recognize every ethnicity in the “melting pot.” That makes as much sense as every ethnicity in America should have their ‘former’ country’s national flag fly right beside America’s flag here.
America is far from being perfect, and for far too long was racially divided, thanks to many on both sides, but predominantly the Democrat Party side! The Party of America’s Civil War, the KKK, Jim Crowe Laws, and segregation! As Ripley would say, “BELIEVE IT OR NOT.”
That is one long winded way of saying that it is incumbent on the black community to deny/refuse to accept this perverse “Anthem!” Rename it ‘Black Pride,’ or whatever. Every American sports entity should NEVER play anything to open some event except The American National Anthem! As John Stossel would say, “GIVE ME A BREAK.”
We are “One Nation Under God with Liberty and Justice for all”, period!
