This was a thought provoking talk. In some ways, it is encouraging. The old way of letting groups determine our culture and direct our actions should be over. The concept that there is no truth and all is relative is crazy. Climate hysteria, New green deal, no limits on age or on spending, lies that seem more real than truth has hurt America. While part of America’s greatness is our vast melting pot but it has to be a melting pot of people who care about laws, about others – not a melting pot of criminals and those who are out for number one. That was Nixon. Carter was doom and gloom and everyone needed to be prepared for a worse condition their parents. Reagan turned that on its head.
Hopefully we as a nation can come together and make changes that prevent the old craziness from re-happening. Not sure how that happens nor how it looks but we need people who have integrity and care about others while working hard – the old American work ethic coming back.
While I most likely will not live to see it happen, I certainly hope it does.
My fear is the people who want to believe the lies and want to continue voting for free stuff. Thosee lured by the “promise” of socialism, communism.
Trump is a phenomenally smart and hard worker. He does not tolerate slackness.
I look for a new era of hard nosed politicians willing to make hard choices and willing to challenge our nation. “Ask not what this country can do for you but what you can do for this country.” May still ring true for many Americans. Let’s hope.
