Amazon has said it may close more than a dozen warehouses and move thousands of workers out of New York City over a labor bill being pushed by Mayor Zohran Mamdani — and the e-commerce giant is likely to make good on the threat if the controversial legislation is enacted, industry experts told The Post.
The Delivery Protection Act would force Amazon to directly hire upwards of 5,000 delivery workers citywide who are currently employed by third-party contractors. Proponents say the legislation will increase workers’ pay and improve safety conditions at Amazon and other delivery firms including FedEx and DoorDash.
But Amazon doesn’t directly employ delivery workers anywhere else in the country — and has a history of fiercely resisting efforts to change its policies in the US and abroad. The result, according to experts, could be not only that those 5,000 delivery jobs move out of the city, but also that Amazon shutters its 15 last-mile warehouses in the Big Apple and fires the additional 2,000 workers that staff them.
The mayor of NY is destroying that city, he wants the citizens to move out so he can bring in more of his Muslim people. If you people of NY was smart you would throw his ass out of your city with AOC along with him.

Amazon does employ shippers across the country which is part of the reason they can lower their shipping costs. It has also impacted USPS, UPS, and FedEx, which is a good thing.
…whomever the woman in blue with the black hair is…she is FOS big time. She speaks in a way that tells you she is lying. Show me the “safety issues” she is solving? Show me the stats on who and how many people get hurt delivering packages? And even if she could show some stats, those incidences are a part of life…and the subcontractors have policies and insurance in place to cover those costs. How would forcing Amazon to hire them have any impact on whether an accident happens? She is lying, and as I said…she’s FOS
