You know, I just had my taxes done and I owe the federal government money. I watch how these non Americans steal billions of dollars and they are walking around free . I pay taxes out of my rear end and still owe them. Something is not right here. I’m angry about it
Ditto. With state, Fed., & local taxes we now pay as much in tax money to the gov.t’s as I grossed in my first salaried job of 20-25 years ago. We now have to budget into savings every month b/c we always owe more at the end of the tax year. The tax lawyer always bugs me to just deduct more from paychecks monthly and I refuse. I will not “give” that money to those money-suckers to hold for a year, with no interest, when I can do the same thing for myself. I don’t care if it’s only 50-bucks interest, it’s 50 I’m not letting them get by using my money for a year, which they throw away in a heartbeat, usually on some asinine project or program or foreign country or wave of illegal aliens….

I am 88 and we always had to show ID to vote and sign a book and our signature had to match. Today people don’t even sign they just put a dash or a curvey line. Why just to prove a point, I have to give all my information at a hospital to have a blood test taken. I was fingerprinted three times: 1. to work on Wall Street, 2. to work in a law firm and 3 to serve on Grand Jury. No problem, had it done and if I have to do it again to Vote fine with me. I am who I am sometimes people come in and don’t even know their birthday, but want to vote. When people are not being dishonest or stubborn they follow the rules. Billions of dollars wasted because either stubborn or dishonest leaders and people. As for the Epstein scandal, all should read “Nobody’s Girl” and see how poor women were abused again and again. Meanwhile many of the abusers deny, deny, deny and cause nothing but trouble to take away from the fact that they were abusers. People from all walks of life, politicians, super stars, TV giants. Check it out and all the other disruptions are to take attention from who the abusers are and were, both genders, it was not only men. We all know about Bill Clinton and Andrew, who else is involved. Bill Gates admits he was involved, don’t know if he moved out of America as they say he did to get out of prison, but he said he is/was sorry, and wrong to do so. Again, read the book, she said she would never kill herself and they claim she did. Did they kill her also, many who stand up to them commit suicide? Very sad times we live in. Again, I never remember such horror in all my years of life here in America. Yes, there were scandals, but these times are the worst.

The fraud and abuse here in California is so bad that now the state is charging those of us on social security and social security disability for medications we originally didn’t have to pay for because we don’t make enough. Newsom and mayor Bass gave away so much taxpayers dollars to iligal immigrants for free medicaid and Medicare that now their making the poorest Americans and the middle class pay for their mistakes, I only get $12,000 a year and every little penny goes to food, over the counter medications, and hygiene products that before the end of the month I’m broke. But go to any grocery store or hospital and see how much better iligals are living then American citizens because that’s the only way you will know because the media won’t tell the Truth!
My dang-gone rent is more than my disability check each month plus my other bills and if it wasn’t for Catholic Charities I would not be able to stay in my apartment. I even had to sell all of my stocks last year just to pay my rent for 3 months and now my portfolio is depleted. I thank GOD for Catholic Charities. That money was for my granddaughters. Now I have to build it back up. These damn “lyingticians need to start going to jail I’m sick of this shit. I worked for 45 years to earn this benifit and they pay me the lowest amount possible and I’m a veteran.
Government shutdown is a such an excuse. Nothing is shut down!
