I spent my late 20’s and early 30’s in Chicago. In the 1970’s, as a Medical Student & Resident, I worked in the Knife & Gun Club on the Southside of Chicago in an area known as Hyde Park. The Emergency Room of the hospitals where I worked had a lot of shootings and stabbings. Now it is 2025, nothing has changed. Chicago government have always been incompetent when it comes to establishing Law & Order. Johnson and Pritzker are crazy if they think that Chicago is a safe city.
