For once a judge did the right thing.
The pied-a-terre tax is likely to stand. The problem is the rollout. You don’t publish a public list of “rich” folks, then send out tax notices. Now the onus is on the property owners to appeal the tax. The only people getting rich will be the lawyers, as they file appeals to contest the taxes. Let us remember, rich folks already pay their “fair share” of property and school taxes.
