My property taxes, my neighborhood’s property taxes, doubled, back in 1988. We were told that the city didn’t raise taxes, it was the School Board. We protested for days, blocked traffic for hours. The property tax bills never went down. Our neighborhood learned, never trust the Democrats. Unfortunately the unions are all Democrat, so the city and unions have been raping the citizens of Chicago for decades. I feel their pain, but been there, done that.
