If they cannot get any of the company money back, I suggest that the board tells the executives doing that stupid (*stuff) they must give up half of all pay and benefits until the debt is paid. (but that’s not going to happen). Maybe they can sue the group advising them to do that stupid (*stuff) for bad advice “Malpractice” and “lack of proper market analysis”.
Sueing the group giving the bad advice might not go very far. No one put a gun against the head of the Cracker Barrel CEO and TOLD her to change policy and go for the woke crowd’s business. If she had any brains, she’d realize that the only woke people that have any real money are the rich white Marxist liberals and they won’t eat at any restaurant that’s anything like Cracker Barrell. The rest of the wokers need to get their allowance from their mommys before they can go to any restaurant. That CEO made her decision all by herself and she even lied about how great it was on national TV. She needs to be fired and never hired as an executive at any other business. All she’s good for is being the janitor.
