I live in Mexifornia & w/state/local/real estate/sales taxes, we pay 50% of our income to taxes, mostly for health care/housing/ schooling/snap food for illegals & some bottomless pit fund for the homeless, as well as for the Democrat “in crowd.” We live in a small-town w/NO sidewalks or curbs, few streetlights, roads that don’t drain (they just put up a “flooded” sign on the roads). Our small public parks were fenced shut for yrs b/c the city/county could not fund them (then they were vandalized by a rising tide of lawlessness). We have 2 police officers to cover a wide area of 70,000 people, & “borrow” officers from an abutting small town. I taught in a school w/tables/ desks 40 yrs old & held together w/ “T” braces, & used plastic folding chairs from an old auditorium for yrs until they fell apart, too. They were replaced w/used desk chairs that fell apart. During Obama, we took “furlough days” (cut pay )& missed a Social Studies book adoption, so we had to use an inferior paperback we’d adopted 6 yrs before (so 12 yrs total) & literally shredded w/age & use. Ended up working double time to access/print copies of online & private or library materials we could teach with b/c the kids couldn’t use the textbooks. I complained abt it to my district b/c my contract (& state law) said that my students & I had to be provided w/materials required for teaching & learning. My district essentially told me it was “my fault” that I couldn’t find a way to use what I had. More, but the list is as long as my arm to demonstrate that I get next to no benefits or protections for the amount of taxes I am required to “invest” in my town/county/state. Before you ask “Why don’t you move?” So many have exited. I tried twice, but owning a home here is hard to get out from under in the last many yrs…during Obama our home was “under water” by half due to nearly every home around us going back to their banks. We were able to hold on. Selling for half of what I owed was not an option, nor to me was allowing a home to be repossessed. We regained value to “break even” during first Trump, only to run into the high interest rates of Biden that makes most unable to buy. This “Golden State” is so tarnished as to be the biggest “hoax” sold to the American public (& foreign interests) in the last many years of Democrat Destruction & Exploitation. The moral is—don’t move here, & if you are here & can get out–RUN & never look back. Above all: please don’t elect anyone to our national governance who will “Californicate” the rest of this beautiful country. Once they get their hooks into your vote & thus your paycheck, you will never get out from under them: they own all the “chips”, ie, rules/law/regulations they pass to make sure you never have another “say” in your economic and social well-being again.
Do you have enough insurance to cover the cost of your mortgage? If you do, then your home can “catch on fire.” It will never be rebuilt. Greasy Newshit will see to that. Then you could just sell the empty lot for whatever you can get so you can LEAVE California. Even if you chose the repo route, you can always buy a house in another state under contract, which doesn’t require a bank loan. The main thing is get out of that wretched state.
And with all this you keep voting the same useless dolts back in office. You reap what you sow. Vote them out or live with it. Honestly, I really do feel for you.
