Deborah, speaking for myself, like so many others I served my country during our last real DECLARED WAR. That makes me nothing special but I truly love my country. Quite frankly, I can’t help but wonder if God is looking down on us shaking his head and saying, “You idiots got yourselves in that mess so get yourselves out. I’m busy elsewhere.” I hope I’m wrong but it seems we’re headed in the same direction as the USSR and Nazi Germany were.
Thanks for your service but I can tell you that veterans from Korea and Viet Nam will tell you declared war or not, the wounds are just as gruesome and the KIAs are just as dead as they are in a declared war. As for how God feels, I’m wondering if he’ll abandon the USA just like he did Israel when they turned their back on him. Israel split into 2 separate countries and plunged into civil war, which made it easy for their enemies to conquer them. They stopped being a country for over 2000 years. Or is he finally fed up and going to give us the Sodom and Gomorrah treatment. Either way, the future doesn’t look good.
