These people whom were to be deported are criminals, gang and the ultimate in undesirables. They are also NOT US citizens and should not be protected by US laws. Anyone who offer judgements in favor of them over the safety of US citizens should be deported as well.
If the undocumented perhaps have a defense to removal from the US, they have the right to a hearing before an immigration judge, the right to appeal a negative decision. It’s called due process. There are lots of reasons for a hearing before the Executive Office of Immigration Review. For example, my own half brother, son of our US citizen father, was born in Mexico but was registered as a US citizen with the US Embassy by our father. Who knew? My brother was a baby when our father did that. Our ancestors fled their home on the Swiss border because in 1730 or so the French, disapproving of their religious faith were raiding the homes of non-Catholics and burning their fields as well. Our ancestors fled to Canada and later to the Shenandoah Valley. Some spoke German up until the time of WW2 and ate their German food too. So we have had the dreaded birth right citizenship for a couple of centuries.
