Let my situation be a literal warning to patriots everywhere; support the small business if you can, especially vet owned. My family and I fled California where we didn’t have options. After the lockdowns, the small amount of mom n pop stores we had were closed, many permanently. Massive amounts of corporations pushing an agenda, it was everywhere. As someone born and raised there, the culture never occurred to me until I got to where I am now. And the decision to leave ignited so much snobbery from people that we thought were our friends. The point; coming from a state that idolizes and worships materialistic things, a culture of looking down at others for not wanting the same, an entire society of people that spent hundreds on their ugly little shivering dogs instead of valuing being a parent–do not allow your community to become shallow and soulless. Support the mom n pop stores, keep corporate away. They hate you anyways.
