I didn’t hear anything about the Iron Dome failing on the TV News.
Any defense system can be overwhelmed if attacked in mass. Even if no one made mistakes on 12-7-1941, the Japanese would’ve still been able to do significant damage because they had huge numbers and better fighter planes on their side. Even the Chinese tactic of human wave attack is successful as long as no nukes are involved. Even if Russia decides to fire off all their nukes at once at us, our missile defense would only be about 30% effective. The MSM likes to make a bigger deal of things then what reality shows.
