Trump had requested the Nation Guard before he even got there from the rally as the news was already reporting the riots. He was with the SS and the fans were walking towards the Capitol. Pelosi and Bowser turned him down. Videos showed police holding the doors open for the rioters. No one was trying to stop them at first until the rally goers arrived.
