Dollars that should have been use to increase Social Security Cost Of Living Increases that American Citizens have PAID INTO ALL THEIR WORKING life. You’re so right! I know some of those people are good and should be allowed to stay. They work to get anything they want and have never received anything free. Let us have enough compassion to realize they, not all, deserve fairness and perhaps the freedom to become Naturaluzed citizens, but first allowed while carrying green cards and then to live in our country without fear.
So you want to reward criminal line jumpers for not waiting their turn and thereby PUNISH honest people that obeyed the law and waited their turn? That makes absolutely no sense nor is it in any way fair.

You should talk to a few law-abiding immigrants to see what it takes to become an American. I thought asylum seekers had to go to the US consulate in their country and ask for it at which point the consulate decides if they have a meritorious case and offers it to them perhaps if they’re in real danger even on the consulate grounds until they can be sent to our country And I can tell you right now 99.99% will not meet the test
You are absolutely right they do need asylum US consulate born in country I worked many years ago with immigrants the can show an authoritative attitude ,also anyone from anywhere part of this world should be safe and secure as innocent people but not criminals.

All Illegal Aliens need to be deported ASAP. Most of the ones crying asylum have no asylum issue and do not belong here either. They are supposed to go to the first country nearest to the one they left and it is not the United States. They need to be deported as well.
