Taxes on Streaming services, taxes on dog grooming and walkers, taxes on lawn care services, the state of Virginia is already the highest taxed state on Personal Property . Now she has raised the minimum wage so the cost to small businesses will force them out of business. Yes folks Democrats like Spanberger, Sherill, and Mamdani are all alike. Taught World History classes yearly in ONE day all about Socialism/ Communism: On a unit test, graded & handed back, I announced that, since we were all one class that cared for each other, I was going to take points from A/B scorers to share with D/F scorers…whereupon the failing, D/F students cheered, & A/B students were stunned/grumpy. I then told them that, since this was all new to them, & a surprise, I’d reteach/give the notes again for the unit & give the same test over again so that they could have a chance to earn higher points, but with this new social “sharing of points” in play. Is it surprising to anyone when I say that neither A/B students or the D/F students participated in this “second chance” once they knew the socialist system would be applied to it? A/B students knew that no matter how hard they worked, how much they earned, they’d have to give enough away to receive “the average grade.” The D/F students knew they could continue “doing nothing” & still receive points unearned. What about the C-student you ask? They at first appeared the least concerned, but quickly caught on, too…that it was NOT a situation in which they could excel…but one in which they could join the D/F students—easy peasy. They understood instantly that “free stuff” was being given away & they didn’t have to care or work anymore, even to be “average.” In ONE lesson about Socialism/Communism my students learned & understood why this fails world-over (which usually takes 70 to 100 yrs to visit misery/ mediocrity upon citizens before completely & finally imploding). Good Luck with the “warmth of Socialism” NYC. There wasn’t even a MINUTE of “warmth” in my classroom, our microcosm of Socialism when I “taught” this .
