The moment I knew that Vance won the debate was when he insisted on making the point that the definition of “legal” in the case of the Haitian immigrants was semantic and should not be confused with legal immigrants who have been fully vetted. He made this point in spite of the press trying to shut him down. Not only did he educate me on a fact I was not aware of, he took advantage of an opportunity to shine a light on how egregiously bias the press is and how they lie by omission.
