Plain and simple if you HAD THE TOP EDUCATION IN THE WORLD and then decide to create a department of education in 1979, and now your education level has dropped to below standards even with the department of education, the spending (funding)for this department is a waste of time and money, and I as a tax payer agree. Hell, my local taxes (on my property taxes) are through the roof, and why build new schools (2 high schools and 2 middle schools) while sneaking the vote in during early stages of covid by the way. Where you only had 3500 total votes (because of covid)pass the levy was total bs. And if the kids getting thru the schooling years can’t read, do simple math or know anything about our country became about. Then we have a major issue. And the department of education and most the people employed there need to do their jobs, and unfortunately, their time has come.
The dumbing down of our children will usher in the end of our country. I was a teacher teaching when students used to learn real math, history, reading, science and all the skills needed to be a productive member of society. There was no woke DEI crap and yes the day was begun with the Pledge of Allegiance and a prayer.

You should pledge to a country or “a people” or a “system”. such as, maybe GOD’s way of doing things. Not to a piece of cloth. Timothy your obviously a Brainwashed Looney Delousional Liberal who never served in the Military. During the 8 years I served no less than 22 of my fellow service members I served with were sent home to their Parents,Families and friends with that Beautiful Flag draped over their Casket. During those 8 years I carried a Blank Check made out to America and it’s people for a price up to and including my Life. Your the exact type thing as to why 4 years of Military service should be made Mandatory upon high school graduation before going to collage with the only exception those selected to attend a Military Academy. This way if you can’t cut it in the Military you become the Fast Food worker of your future.

The era of required reading , no political indoctrination , learned cursive writing , math , English grammar and in high school The policies of democracy ,respect for one’s fellow man / women . I usually watch FOX Five, yet, when Tarlow opens her mouth and after a few words, I mute the show. However, when the man, Howard, I believe his name is, is on I can watch his entire argument for the Dem side. He’s reasonable. Tarlow is a true left-wing nut. Sometimes when she’s on a rant, I put Evening Edit on FOX Business instead of FOX Five.

Parents need to step up and help their children too. Some kids retain more information than others. Sit down with your kids and go over homework in grades 1 thru 6. In junior high they should be more responsible, but ask them if they are all set for school the next day. Don’t wait for report cards to find out if your child is struggling in a certain subject. Parents and schools need to work together so our kids can have a happy future.
