I have spent years in the legal system and worked with many Judges, some better than others. Juan Merchan is well thought of by the members of the New York Bar. They state Merchan is firm, yet fair. His reputation among attorneys, court staff, prosecutors, and defense attorneys is that he is incredibly fair, even keeled, and well intentioned.

I have seen hundreds of Judges in action and have observed thousands of hours of testimony during my career. Juan Merchan has been more than fair during these proceedings even as his patience has been more than tried by the defendant and his legal representatives.
