Stores with self-check out have to have a clerk watching the customers scan and bag the items or the shoppers are likely not to scan or pay. This happens in all areas as a percentage of the shoppers cheat, rich or poor. I do self check out if the line to the cash register lane is long. I don’t cheat as I don’t need a ride in the back seat of a cop car.
But people comming filling carts with stuff and walking out is not a problem
walmart! you made it easy for some people to steal, and now you complain that they do? Shame on you!

Walmart is stealing as well. The day to day rise in prices is ridiculous. I talked with a friend of mine that works there. He says he changes prices everyday. Different items. They always go up since I was a kid. Except. Women’s clothing has a rack of priced down items. Some for five dollars or less. I wish that companies would actually say no to inflation. They make billions of dollars daily. Would some of the CEO’s actually say no to the government corruption? As one place raises their prices. Every business raise their prices. Greed.
