Strange, one of the founding fathers of the Redskins NFL team was an American Indian, I believe he was a Sioux, and the name was chosen to honor all American Indians. Also heard that many present-day American Indians want the Redskin name back as well as the Cleveland Indians name back. Notice Kansas City kept their name, the Chiefs.
